Making Sure People Are Heard
Leadership starts with listening.
I never expected to run for office. My path here started with lived experience, recovery, advocacy, and showing up for people in my community who felt overlooked or unheard because I knew what that felt like too.
Too many people feel disconnected from government and unheard by the people elected to represent them. Rural communities are often left out of conversations and decisions that directly impact their lives, and many people feel like leadership only shows up during election season.
Throughout my work in advocacy, peer support, recovery, and community leadership, I’ve learned that trust is built through relationships, honesty, and consistency. People may not always agree on every solution, but most people want the same basic things: safety, opportunity, stability, and a voice that matters.
I believe leadership should be accessible, transparent, and rooted in real conversations with the people most impacted by decisions. I want District 1B to have a representative who listens, shows up, and stays connected to the realities families are facing every day.
