Meet Jennifer!

I'm a lifelong advocate, community leader, mother, and person in long-term recovery who believes our communities deserve leadership rooted in real life experience, accountability, and action. My journey hasn't followed a traditional political path. I've experienced hardship, rebuilding, recovery, and the challenges many families across rural Minnesota face every day. Those experiences shaped the way I show up for people and are the reason I've decided to dedicate my life to advocacy, peer support, family services, and community leadership. Over the years I've worked alongside families navigating mental health challenges, recovery, the justice system, poverty, and barriers to basic support. I've served in leadership roles across Minnesota focused on these topics, because I believe the people closest to the problems should have a voice in the solutions.
Why I'm Running
Turning Lived Experience into Action for our communities.

“I’m not running because politics changed my life. I’m running because real people did, and now I want to fight for the communities that fought for me.”
I’m running because I know what it feels like to struggle, rebuild, and fight for stability. I’ve spent years advocating for families, recovery, mental health, and stronger support systems in our communities, and I’ve seen firsthand how disconnected leadership can impact everyday people. I believe rural communities deserve someone who listens, shows up, and understands real life.
Community Leadership & Advocacy
Building connections, removing barriers, and making sure people are heard.

“The best solutions come from people who have lived the struggles, walked through the barriers, and still chose to show up for others.”
My work has focused on bringing people together, creating connections, and helping remove barriers for individuals and families across Minnesota. From recovery advocacy and family support work to statewide leadership and community organizing, I’ve always believed change happens when people feel heard, valued, and included in the conversation.
